Here is another picture of one of the challenges I completed over on the just bex site.
Tomorrow sees us all back at work/school. I have been planning a few activities for the children to do in our after school club. During my blog hopping time I found a great idea to make a bag/basket from a sealed envelope. I know how to do it but don't know who to credit with the idea. When I make some with the children, I will take photos and if you know where I got it from, then please let me know.

I have been spending again and bought lots of bits at the Cheltenham stitching and creative crafts show. (See picture). I did think the entry price was a bit steep. £7 if you didn't buy in advance. I think I have been spoilt by gong to the Farnborough Make it show and Ally Pally last year. Over on the Just Bex site there has been a weekend of challenges. I have completed a few. Here are a few photos of my efforts.

I was reading back at what I had written and realised I hadn't put the pictures of how I made my little fabric chicken, so here they are.

We have had a really lovely family weekend. It was our sons 20th birthday on Friday and he came home for the weekend. (Works up north). The contents of the party bag has changed a little but his beautiful smiling face is still the same. I know he was feeling sad that he was leaving his teens but the death of a friend of his seems to of made him realise that life is for now, not what age you are.

Gosh, what a bad blogger I am. Note to self - Must write on blog more often.

I have no excuse for not writing other than I have been very busy sorting my craft room and making things. Mainly cards though I have got my acrylic paints out again to paint some wooden signs. The top picture is the after shot. I don't know why they have come out the wrong way but I don't know how to swap them.

Life has been very busy these past few days. Saturday was spent at the 'Make it' show in Farnborough where I managed to spend almost £90! I also met up with some cyber friends from the just Bex forum which was brilliant. (My next job is to work out how you add links from here to other sites). On the Sunday, 16 family members met up to celebrate my father-in-laws 70th birthday. It was a great day and was one of the few times we have managed to get everyone together.

I had planned to spend my days crafting before going to work each afternoon but with so many bugs going about I have been forced to do hard labour in 3W this week. Thankfully the teacher is a slightly barmy Welsh woman who likes to sing and dance though I am not saying she can do either well!!

I will write when I have some crafty things to share. (Which I hope will be this weekend).

Tada! The chicken is finished.

She is stuffed with plastic pellets and has wadding in her head with a few drops of a nice smelling oil. If I was doing this with a lighter fabric I probably wouldn't add the oil in case it stained but as this has a slightly shabby look, it is fine.

I will post pictures of how I made her later.
