These are the photos of what my darling husband arrived back from the States with for me. Life has been so busy for us that I haven't had a proper play with anything though the 2 magazines are very well read. We have just finished (about 10 minutes ago) decorating the kitchen. Looks gorgeous. I have de-cluttered and the pale green really makes it light and airy. Hope everyone had a very enjoyable Easter. I have to say thank you to our eldest son for phoning yesterday (very early) to say he had snow. Just a big kid at heart!

Not much to report this week. I have been browsing the internet trying to find craft bargains for my husband to buy me when he pops over to America next week. I have just persuaded him he needs the bigger case!! The kids have also made shopping lists. The youngest wants a particular skateboard and the eldest wants a waitress from Hooters! I'd like to see my OH explain that at customs.

I won a prize last week on the just bex site. It is being posted soon so when I get it I will add a photo.

Happy Mothering Sunday to all mums. Mine has received a copy of the new Katie Fforde book signed by the author who I met on Wednesday. It was a wonderful evening and she was a delightful woman who spent a little time with everyone as she signed both old and new books. Even though it was getting late she didn't seem in a hurry to rush the queue.

My children bought me a DVD of a film I know nothing about and a book that I have been dropping hints about for 2 weeks. (Pink post it notes all over the house seemed to do the trick). It is the new Sophie Kinsella book - Remember me. I have slobbed about the house all day glued to each page and finished it just before tea. What a wonderful book which I have enjoyed from beginning to end.

Here is another picture of one of the challenges I completed over on the just bex site.
Tomorrow sees us all back at work/school. I have been planning a few activities for the children to do in our after school club. During my blog hopping time I found a great idea to make a bag/basket from a sealed envelope. I know how to do it but don't know who to credit with the idea. When I make some with the children, I will take photos and if you know where I got it from, then please let me know.

I have been spending again and bought lots of bits at the Cheltenham stitching and creative crafts show. (See picture). I did think the entry price was a bit steep. £7 if you didn't buy in advance. I think I have been spoilt by gong to the Farnborough Make it show and Ally Pally last year. Over on the Just Bex site there has been a weekend of challenges. I have completed a few. Here are a few photos of my efforts.

I was reading back at what I had written and realised I hadn't put the pictures of how I made my little fabric chicken, so here they are.

We have had a really lovely family weekend. It was our sons 20th birthday on Friday and he came home for the weekend. (Works up north). The contents of the party bag has changed a little but his beautiful smiling face is still the same. I know he was feeling sad that he was leaving his teens but the death of a friend of his seems to of made him realise that life is for now, not what age you are.
