Decorated candles.

These are candles I made as a present a couple of years ago but never posted the images.  I think I decorated the charger with some ivy.  In the end I didn't use the rub on words.  I was going to make little tags for the candles but decided that they didn't need them.

I just cut strips of card and wrapped them around the candles and secured with sticky strip.  I punched out a flower and stamped the centre then secured a button in the middle before sticking it onto the candle.

Melanie's cards

These are the cards my friend is making this year. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing but they are so lovely I can't help myself.

Cruising

Dressed up ready for the evening.

First night in the dining room

Here are some of our holiday snaps from the cruise we did at the end of September.  I need to photshop the pictures of me playing shuffleboard, before I post them, as I was a bit rubbish and didn't have enough umph to get the puck into the scoring zone!!

The photo of us enjoying a beverage was on my blackberry PlayBook so have had to put it on as a separate post. I've deleted the ones of me stuffing my face.
Well, I am finally getting sorted here in Plymouth.  I managed to get a transfer to the Plymstock branch of Morrisons so I have a few hours work each week.

The weather has been so wet we haven't done much exploring.  I did go swimming in the sea last week when we had about 3 hours of summer!!

Plymouth seems to have a full schedule of events.  So far I have attended a car show on the Hoe, watched some fantastic fireworks and sampled some great food at the Flavour festival.  I may have purchased a Christmas present of two.  I loved the cocktail tent!

Thought I would share some photos of cards I have made using the French Foliage stamp set from Stampin up.

I did get the inspiration for them from the gallery on splitcoaststampers.

Sorry for not keeping this blog up to date but my life has been very hectic. I have moved from Chippenham to Plymouth last weekend though all my furniture went a few weeks before. My craft stuff is still in boxes so haven't done much. I did go to the Newbury show and did a workshop with Barbara Gray. What a laugh. I'm looking forward to getting the brayer out.

Just a quick post to let you know I am still alive.  I have been doing a few craft things but I don't know how to get the photos off my blackberry playbook.  I think I might have a lead somewhere to link it to the laptop but it has probably been packed.

Mothering Sunday

I forgot to take a photo of the card I made for my mum. This is the card I made for my hubby to send to his mum. Happy Mothering Sunday to you both.
I had a lovely visit from my eldest son bearing gifts and a phone call from the youngest. (The pressies were from both of them). Thanks boys. I love you and am proud to be your mum.

Love is...

Bacon Roses!!! I saw these on Pinterest last year and thought they would make the best present for hubby on Valentines day. The little gift was a packet of Gaviscon.

Christmas secret santa present.

As I have said before, once a month there is a crop near Weston-Super-Mare that I try to go to. Each Christmas we have a secret santa present swap. For Christmas 2010 I received a beautiful vintage style sewing kit. Last Christmas I got a button box that goes with it perfectly. It contained a selection of bought buttons, some homemade buttons and best of all, chocolate buttons! (They aren't in the tin anymore).

Visiting Cornwall

Here is a picture of my son with his fish ad chips which he did manage to get through with a little help from his Grandad and dad. Afterwards hubby and son did their ritual of visiting Falmouth docks which they both love!!!

Grease is the Word

Had a great night out last Friday with some friends at a sing-a-long-a-Grease night.
