Last August we had a family day out at the races followed by a concert by none other than THE Meatloaf. His voice has lost its power but he can still put on a performance that entertains from start to finish. It was a brilliant day and evening.
Last week we were lucky enough to see a sunfish just off Cawsands near Plymouth. A few weeks before we saw one but didn't know what it was. I thought it was a bit of thin wood moving in the water but as we got closer we could see it was a fish. Because it was almost lifeless we thought it had been hit by a boat. Then it just disappeared. After spending a lot of time looking at pictures and talking to people, we came to the conclusion it was a sunfish but thought we would never see another one. Then Gary spotted it and it just drifted right past our little boat. Really magical.
Craig on the left and Dale on the right looking very warrior like. This was the outfits they wore at a festival last weekend. I helped Dale make his costume. (Though he did do most of it himself). We collected peacock feathers from the woods near Tragos in Cornwall, then turned them into his headdress. I used a necklace to make the cloak fastening. I also created something that looked a little bit like a loin cloth by sewing some fabric to some pants.
This is a canvas I made quite a while ago. When I used to go to the Crafts 4 eternity crop, Michele gave us a canvas and some information on how to decorate it. We all took one home and brought it back the following month painted. I just slapped on some acrylic paint until I was happy with the colouring then added a bit of stamping, a quote I liked along with some bits I had around the house. Originally I wanted to add sea glass but it looked a bit 'childs collage'!
I have made this card pack using some papers and stamp set I have had for a while. I really love these papers but have been keeping them instead of using them.
